Frequently asked questions
What people ask us before the first call, answered straight. If your question isn’t here, ask it.
Code and ownership
Who owns what you build?
You do. What’s yours is yours.
- The code sits in a repository in your company’s name, with its full history.
- The documentation explains how it works, how it’s installed and how it’s changed.
- The accounts for the domain, hosting and AI services are in your name and paid with your own payment method. We get in with collaborator access, which you can withdraw whenever you like.
- Your data is yours. We don’t use it for anything other than your project.
We put this in writing in the proposal, before we start.
Can I take it to another provider?
Yes, without asking our permission. Since the code, the documentation and the accounts are already yours, another team can pick up where we left off. If you ask, we’ll do the handover and explain how it’s built.
We don’t use closed components that only we know how to work on. When a project needs a third-party service, we tell you and you sign up for it yourself.
Data and AI
Which AI models do you use?
It depends on the job. Reading a delivery note doesn’t call for the same thing as an assistant that talks to your customers. We choose the model by how well it does that task with your data, where it processes the information and what it costs, and we name it in the proposal.
We work with open models and with commercial providers, and we build the pieces so the model can be swapped without rebuilding the rest.
This website’s assistant uses an open model that runs on Cloudflare Workers AI. We explain it in detail in how we use AI (in Spanish).
Where is my data processed?
We tell you in writing before we build anything: which service handles each piece of data, in which country and with what safeguards. If some data mustn’t leave your business or the European Union, the piece is designed so it doesn’t, even if that changes which model we use.
When it’s needed, we sign with you the data processing agreement that the GDPR requires.
What this website processes is in the privacy policy (in Spanish).
Is my data used to train the AI?
We don’t use it to train anything. And we choose AI services whose terms commit them to not training their models on what you send them. We tell you which ones they are so you can check.
What happens if the AI gets it wrong?
You can tell. AI makes mistakes, which is why everything we build is designed to show when it’s unsure:
- Anything doubtful is flagged with the possible readings, and a person checks it.
- Your rules check what the AI suggests: that the price matches the price list, that the lines add up, that the order exists.
- Nothing goes into your system without passing those rules or that review.
- Every change is logged: who approved it and when.
You can see it in the distributor demo: one of its delivery notes has a smudged figure, and the machine tells you so instead of making it up.
Does this website’s assistant keep what I type?
We keep conversations for 30 days, without your IP address, to check whether the assistant is answering well. You can ask it not to keep yours with the switch in the chat itself.
Don’t share sensitive data there. If what you want to tell us is delicate, write to us or call us. More in how we use AI (in Spanish).
Timelines and how we work
How long does it take?
We don’t give you a timeline before seeing your case, because it would be made up. A simple website and an automation connected to your ERP are nothing alike.
After the diagnosis, the timeline goes in writing in the proposal. And because we work in short deliveries, the first piece that works arrives well before the whole project. How we work.
How much does it cost?
It depends on what needs building, and we don’t publish prices because hardly any two cases are alike. The first call costs nothing. After the diagnosis you get a written proposal with a fixed price for each part, so you can decide with everything in front of you.
Do I have to change my management software?
No. What we build connects to the software you already use, to your email and to your spreadsheets. If your software doesn’t allow connections, we look at it during the diagnosis and tell you what the alternatives are. None of them starts with “change your software”.
Where are you from and where do you work?
We work across Castilla-La Mancha: Toledo, Ciudad Real, Albacete, Cuenca and Guadalajara, and the towns and villages in between.
We don’t have an office open to the public. We come to you. The company’s registered office is in Zamora, as you’ll see in the legal notice (in Spanish), but our work is here.
Do you come in person?
Yes. The first call is by video, but we do the diagnosis at your business, watching how you work. We also come for training and whenever something is easier to explain round the same table.
Do you work outside Castilla-La Mancha?
Yes, by video call. Castilla-La Mancha is our patch and where we normally go in person, but if your business is elsewhere, we’ll talk and see whether we can do the diagnosis properly at a distance.
Maintenance and support
What happens after delivery?
We’re still there. We offer maintenance and support: updates, backups, keeping an eye on everything working and adjusting whatever is needed when your software, your suppliers or the way you work change.
What it includes and how you let us know goes in writing in the proposal. If you’d rather maintain it yourself or with another team, you can: it’s all yours and it’s documented.
Do you train my team?
Yes. When we hand over each piece, we train whoever is going to use it, with their own cases, and leave them a short written guide.
We also run AI training for teams that want to use it well day to day: what it does well, where it goes wrong and what data it’s best not to give it.
Grants
Does Kit Digital still exist?
Not for new applications. According to Acelera pyme, the calls for the Kit Digital programme, the Spanish government’s digitalisation scheme for small businesses, have closed. We’re not going to sell you a voucher that can no longer be applied for.
What we do is go through with you which digitalisation grants are still open for your business.
Can you help me with other grants or subsidies?
We help you find the ones that fit your project and prepare the technical part: what will be done, how and in what timeframe. Calls for applications change often, so we review it case by case, with the call in front of us.
Can’t find your question?
Ask this website’s assistant, or book half an hour with us and we’ll talk it through.
